  1. Coco was always a happy dog. I was working in Lake County and out of the corner of my eye comes this little dog running out of the KFC parking lot into the highway. I slammed on my brakes and heard him cry out, got out of the car to see if he was ok and he ran across the other lanes of the highway. I couldn't find him and was worried he was hurt so I called animal control who did find him. He was groomed and neutered and uninjured so they took him back to Animal control and scanned him for a chip which he did not have. I called everyday to see if he was claimed but he never was. They thought he was 4 around that time and thought he was a Poodle-Terrier. I went up on the 3rd day which was the max for that shelter and he was visiting w/ an elderly lady and her dog but she did not adopt him. I took him back to my home and opened the front door where my dog Ibis greeted him. He growled at her and they never got along after that. They never bonded to my dismay but they would always follow each other and lay next to each other and I have 1 video where they actually played together. A neighbor wanted a dog so Coco spent the night with her and she fell in love. I visited w/ him almost everyday, groomed him and took him to the park but I was moving to a different county. She fell ill not long after I moved and her family called me and I came back to get him, I wasn't able to adopt him out again and have had him fulltime ever since. Coco always bonded w/ men more and loved going out when my husband took out the recycling or trash and Coco just liked to walk around the yard or up and down the sidewalk just sniffing. He would go to the furthest corners of the dog park just sniffing. He loved the beach when he was younger and loved to dig and get extra messy in the sand. Coco could never stay clean for a full 24 hours. Coco loved to try to get into the nastiest trash and loved to eat goose poop when we went to Niagara Falls. Coco was the biggest baby and would pout, he was very sensitive but would pick fights with the big dogs. Coco was never very smart and I tried for 11 years to get him to give me his paw. Coco didn't run he frolicked and his ears would bounce, everyone always commented on "those ears". He also didn't bark, he Arf Arf'd and was always so happy to see anyone. He used to bounce up and down when he was excited when he was younger. Coco would throw his kitty up in the air and run and catch it, he loved to play with his toys. Coco wouldn't eat pasta but would eat vegetables. We did Coco's dna and found out he was 50% Chinese Crested (a powder puff) and 50% Bichon. Coco got to enjoy his 15th birthday in March and we always thought he would live to be in his 20s. Unfortunately Coco always struggled w/ stomach problems even with special diets and after his stroke last year and a Lipoma on his back leg, he got diagnosed with kidney failure in April. 3 vets couldn't help him and he just couldn't eat anymore. Coco held on and fought so hard at the end, he was such a tough little boy. We did love Coco and after Ibis passed at the end of December he helped us through that and got to have us to himself. We were planning our Honeymoon in October with him and are sad we didn't get more time. We are happy he passed at home w/ us by his side and grandma was there too. I am glad you let Mommy hold you those final days and Daddy. We love you little boy.
